Missouri Cemetery Inscription Sources
Sources for finding gravestone inscriptions for the entire state of Missouri
Description
This database contains sources where the researcher can find the gravestone inscriptions for the entire state of Missouri. Organized by county and cemetery name, it provides the researcher an invaluable tool in finding headstone inscriptions for relatives who rest in Missouri when travel to the cemetery is not available.
With each cemetery is the compiler of the source material and the work in which can be found the headstone inscription. In some cases there is more than one source. Often this includes the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. The number following this type of entry (FHL) is the microfilm number and copies of the microfilm reel can be obtained at nearly sixteen hundred branch libraries of the Family History Library. In a few cases there are other respositories listed where the inscription source can be found.
